MARKETMATE

MarketMate is a grocery price comparison app for millennial adults that allows users to discover the cheapest prices for their favorite items. I created the concept for the app, designed the UI elements, planned wireframes, and created a clickable prototype.

 

Upon looking at popular grocery apps, I noticed that there weren’t many that focused on price comparison across multiple grocery stores. There needed to be a simple and effective way for consumers to save money and know what products are available without necessarily having to physically go to each store on their list to check.

 

I planned MarketMate from the ground up, creating a paper prototype, content and interaction maps, and planning wireframes for each of the app’s primary functions. I then created various UI elements in a pattern library, using green, yellow, and orange to give the brand a bright and inviting feel for users. After planning each part of the app, I combined the elements into a functioning clickable prototype, created in Adobe XD. Bringing this project to life, MarketMate has the capability to enhance the grocery shopping experience one list at a time.
